Home Cooking: Chicken On Sweet & Sour Uncle Ben`s Sauce

Chicken on sweet & sour Uncle Ben’s sauce.

It is so! delicious that it has become one of our favorite dishes & I cook it at least twice a month.

Easy & tasty & so colorful that it cheers up our lunch mood!!

♥ Chicken On Sweet & Sour Uncle Ben`s Sauce

Serves 4 – 6 people

Ingredients

  • 450 gr skinless & boneless chicken breast (cut in squared shape cubes)
  • 500 gr Uncle Ben`s sweet & sour sauce
  • olive oil
  • 500 gr uncle nen`s rice
  • salt & pepper

 

Method

  1. In a large frying pan heat the olive oil & stir fry the chicken for 8 minutes until it starts to brown
  2. Add salt & pepper
  3. Pour in the Uncle Ben’s Sweet & Sour sauce with and simmer for 4 minutes until bubbling
  4. Prepare the rice according to the package instructions
  5. Serve the chicken on top or aside of the rice

    Mmm this has made me so hungry now. I’m just about to stop for lunch but only got Rivita today! I love Uncle Bens sauces, especially this one, so easy and delicious!

    This makes me smile, Marianthi. First reason, if I come to a country, I want the local cuisine, not Chinese. Second reason, it is better to make your own sauce than to buy it in a jar. Worse still, why give an American name to a Chinese sauce? ….. as the French might say “Incroyable!” 🙂

      Ah Ken!! What a pity that you didn’t like my post. If you come to Greece I guess that you will definitely eat traditional souvlaki or Greek salad but I am not writing a Greek traditional blog to only promote Greek stuff. I hope that you at least enjoyed the shots because this year I will focus a lot on food photography. Thank you for your comment!! Have a lovely day!! 🙂
