Any kind of excuse, is a good excuse to go out for breakfast (or lunch…or dinner… a snack maybe, but mostly breakfast!!).
So, last Sunday the shops where open in the center of Athens and that was the perfect opportunity for a walk in the streets downtown and some window shopping.
One of my favorite places for such a ride is the “Public Cafe” in Syntagma square. I can easily relax up there, read my book and enjoy the view from the balcony (or from inside this time) and still be a minute away from the commercial road of Ermou str.
The weather was lovely. I had just completed my “street photo project”, I was really happy with the shots I got, so I headed quickly to the fifth floor of the store, looking for a cosy spot near by the window.
Apart form the great coffee I find in the Public café, the atmosphere is all I need to calm down and get inspired about my blog schedule.
Their menu is rich and the breakfast choices are many, but this time I was in the mood for scrambled eggs and cold espresso.
It was early in the morning so I couldn`t enjoy one of their delicious desserts but that`s a good reason to return again soon. No?
Their service is always really quick (something I find really important) and their staff very polite (THE most important).
My eggs & crispy -always- bacon were as yummy as you can see in the pictures and my coffee was just as I prefer it.
Although I got up there while the place was quite empty, I decided to avoid the balcony because of the cold, but I highly recommend it. The view of Syntagma square and the Greek Parliament building is excellent!!
Is really nice to date yourself some Sunday mornings. Isn`t it?
